Since most infectious microorganisms have developed antibiotic resistance, a response against them is crucial as without effective antibiotics, the prognosis and treatments, especially chemotherapy will be rendered ineffective. According to statistics, in the year 2016, about 490,000 people globally developed multi-drug resistant TB.
